| Several organizations hail release of DA | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Apr 25 Several organizations have hailed the government decision of releasing 6 per cent DA to the state government with effect from January last. Subash Shastri President National Mazdoor Conference while hailing the decision has thanked the Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and his cabinet colleagues in addressing the genuine demand of the employees and described the decision as employee friendly. Shastri has also sought revival of LTC besides granting Bonus, disturbed area allowance, declaring Jammu and Srinagar as B-I cities and regularization of all the daily wagers. President Jammu and Kashmir Government Low Paid Employees Federation Abdul Majid Khan while hailing the decision described it as partial victory of the persistent and protracted struggle of the employees. He said release of the dearness allowance will provide some relief to the employees from sky rocketing prices of essential commodities. Khan has also demanded enhancement of minimum daily wages to Rs.100 besides increasing the honorarium of Anganwari workers, village guards, Nambardars, ReTs and PHE workers working under community participation scheme. The low paid employees president has called upon the employees of Jammu province to participate in the massive parch and rally being organized by the Federation on April 29 in a big way to make the occasion a historic one. |
