| Adbi Kunj organizes literary tributes meet | | ‘ Allama Iqbal a great poet, philosopher of highest order’: Talib | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Apr 25 To commemorate the 70th death anniversary of ‘Allama Iqbal’ a great poet of the East, the Adbi Kunj organized an impressive literary tributes meet at its literary centre. The renowned Urdu and Pahari poetess and writer Begam Zeenat Fardous presided over the meet while well known Urdu and Hindi Poet and writer from Banaras Taiyab Bharti was the chief guest. The meet was attended by a large number of writers, poets and other Inqlabi lovers. In his welcome address, Sham Talib, President Adbi Kunj, while highlighting the poetry and philosophy of Allama Iqbal described him the poet and philosopher of the highest order, who always stood for universal brotherhood, evil free society and pre-ponderated the philosophy of self respect. Talib Kashmiri, Taiyab Bharti, Sushil Begana, Zeenat Fardous and Nargis Sitara also highlighted the various aspects of the great personality and said that Iqbal through his poetry has enlightened the society and called upon the youth to understand his poetry and message and adhere to it. On this occasion, a multi-lingual poetic session was also held in which Zeenat Firdous, Nargis Sitara, Baby Zutshi, Taiyab Bharti, Talib Kashmiri, Sushil Bagana, Com. Jaswant Singh, Rajeshwar Bhakri, Rajeev Kumar, Dr. Kamala Sharma, Sanjeev Kumar, Avtar Krishan Ganjoo, Bharti Sehar Ganderbali and Sham Talib recited their poems. |
