Unique Krishana Leela underway at Smadhi Sthal, horse race on Apr 27

The Smadhi Divas of widely revered saint, Shree Dwarika Nath Shastriji Maharaj, is being observed on April 26 tomorrow at his Holy Smadhi Sthal located near Nikki Tawi Islands in Sohanjana village.
On this occasion, unique Krishana Leela is being solemnized since April 20 at the Holy Smadhi Sthal which will continue till April 27. Besides, first of its kind horse race will also be there on April 27, in which horses from other parts of the country are participating.
The programme on 26th April shall begin with Holy Shree Paduka Pujan and a grand Havana followed by Maha Arti.
On the occasion, a day long Satsang shall be performed by eminent saints and religious scholars specially invited to deliver sermons and enlighten the devotees.
Shri Gangadharji, son of Shastriji shall manage, control and supervise the whole function with active support and participation of followers and devotees.
It is pertinent to mention here that Shastri Ji along with Sati Maa Champa Ji entered into Holy Agni Samadhi after finishing their holy task on April 26, 1992 at Tawi Islands adjoining village Sohanjana in short span of 32 years of his life. Later, one of their disciples, Shri Rashpal Kumar also took Samadhi at the same place on the same day.
Renowned as “Bori Wale Baba” and “Shastri Maharaj” after renouncing the worldy life because he only used to wear a piece of Tat (matty-cloth), he was a rare personality and used to visit religious places of all faiths to deliver discourses, which were considered as of great importance. He accumulated in-depth knowledge of Holy Bible, Holy Quran, Gurugranth Sahib Ji and other religious scriptures, and used to discourse in the religious ceremonies not only in the Jammu & Kashmir State, but in other parts of the country like Punjab, UP and Himachal Pradesh. Shastri Ji was highly educated and was Ph.D in Sanskrit and having done Masters in more than three subjects. He had left behind a legacy in the form of works done by him.
One of Shastri Ji’s biggest programmes was held in 1986 at Parade Grounds in Jammu City, where lakhs of people participated, which helped in boosting socio-religious culture in the state.
Since April 26, 1992 on 26th of every month, a day-night Satsangh is being organized at the Smadhi of Shastri Ji, where thousands of people from in and outside the state participate and pay their obeisance and seek blessings.
The whole program is being organized by Shree Dewarika Nath Shastriji Service Trust and the devotees are appealed to help the management in successful conduct of the whole programme.
