| Sindhu festival to be celebrated for 3 days | | | Early Times Reporter

The Sindhu Festival-2008 would be celebrated in Leh for 3 days starting from June 12th 2008. This was disclosed at a meeting held here today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner M.K. Bhandari. Besides senior District Officers, the Presidents of Tour & Travel Agents Association, Hotel Association and Taxi Association participated in the meeting.
As per press release the meeting gave focus on giving more attention on publicity about the Sindhu Darshan celebration in print and electronic media so that more and more tourists witness the festival.
It was disclosed in the meeting that domestic tourists have come in large number in Leh ever since the Sindhu Festival was start celebrating in Leh.
The meeting decided to organize Double Humped Camel Safari, Yak ride, archery, Thanka Exhibition, Lama Mask cance, Horse Polo, Ladakhi traditional dances besides Punjabi Bhangra, Kathak dances, Kashmiri folk song and Dogri dances, the release added. |
