| SVO produces challan against Ex CEO Kupwara, 4 others in fake appointment case | | | Srinagar, August 29: The State Vigilance Organisation here on Tuesday produced a challan before the anti-corruption court against five State Government officials including former Chief Education Officer Kupwara for appointing two teachers on the basis of fake certificates.
FIR under no:77/97 was , according to Vigilance sources, registered against the then Chief Education Officer Kupwara Wali Mohd Sheerwani, Head Assistant Gh Mohd Dar, Senior assistant Mohd Abdullah Dar, Senior Assistant Ab Hameed Sheikh, Junior Assistant Gh Nabi Sheikh and Ab Ghani tantray way back in 1996.
The accused had, according to Vigilance, appointed Naseer Ahmed Malik S/O Mohd Abdullah R/O Yaroo Handwara and Mushtaq Ahmed Bhat S/O Ab Ghani R/O Dardpora Handwara teachers on the basis of social caste certificates and fake marks certificates, which they had produced.
Following the sensational revelation about the veracity of the certificate, State Vigilance Organisation started investigating the matter and a challan was produced before the anti-corruption court.
