The technological advancements in every field are penetrating the social life of our state. However, while rest if the state enjoys most of the basic facilities, Marmat area has been left high and dry.
Mountainous area of Marmat Tehsil in Doda district is inhibited by more than 40 thousand souls. Marmat Tehsil which is only 30 kilometers away from District headquarters has been neglected by successive e state governments.
Political leaders used Marmat area as a vote bank since Independence as people are still crying for basic needs of life.
Marmat road starts from Khellani and right from the start and even link roads are just pot holes and the roads are in very poor condition.
Particularly at Hambal village, near Khellani and Gullar Nalla,Khankh Nalla the condition is very pathetic due to construction of Hambal- Dedni road.
The locals said it takes 3 to 4 hours to a cover a distance of 30 kilometers
They have accused the authorities of indifference. "The apathy of the authorities has caused the problem.
