| Traffic accidents leave 2 dead, 4 police personnel among 5 injured | | | Srinagar, August 29: A forest official died on spot in a traffic accident at Sazwani Bandipora, while as a civilian fell down from a tree and died on spot. Meanwhile five persons including four police personnel were injured during road accidents at Awantipora and Budgam. Reports reaching Srinagar indicate that a forest official Mohd Altaf Bhat S/O Mohd Yousuf Bhat R/O Sazwani Bandipora left for duty as usual in the morning and while boarding a matador bearing no:JK 05/3711 he hardly found some space in stairs due to overloading. The driver applied breaks all of a sudden and the said forest official fell down on the ground and was over run by the matador. He died on Spot. Police was informed following which driver Gh Mohd Ganaie S/O Gh Ahmed was arrested and a case under FIR.no:198/06 was registered against him. Meanwhile one Ab Salam Dar S/O Mohd Khaleel slipped and fell down from a walnut tree. He died on spot. The deceased was father of three children. One more civilian Farooq Ahmed Malik S/O Gh Mohd R/O Bagroo Budgam was hit by a speedy scooter bearing no: JK01G/4853 and got critically injured. Four police personnel were injured, when gypsy of the security wing of state police hit a truck at Chechkote Awantipora. The injured police personnel were shifted to Srinagar for medical treatment immediately.
