| Two accused arrested along with weapon of offence | | | Early Times Reporter Samba | Apr 26 Samba police has succeeded in arresting two accused involved in attacking Lekh Raj son of Ramesh Chander of Mansar and causing him grievous injuries. Giving details, the SSP Samba said today that on April 23, Lekh Raj son of Ramesh Chander of Mansar reported in an injured condition in police post Mansar that one Pankaj Sharma son of Prithpal Sharma and Ankush Kumar son of Yashpal Sharma, both residents of Mansar, and armed with lethal weapons came in a maruti car bearing registration NO 2379-JK-01B and attacked him due to which he received grievous injuries on his forehead and both arms. An old enmity was reported to be cause of the attack, the SSP added. He further said on this report a case FIR NO 89/08 u/s 341/323/ 34 RPC 4/25 Arms Act was registered in the police station and an extensive search was launched by SI Sanjiv Chib I/C PP Mansar. He said that the accused Ankush Sharma was arrested last evening while his companion Pankaj Sharma was arrested this morning along with the weapon of offence. The vehicle used in commission of offence was also recovered and seized; he said and added that further investigation in the case was in progress. |
