Eight member delegation of Chamb displaced persons of 1965 and 1971 camp today called on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. The delegation was headed by S.R Nagial, President Chamb displaced persons Association.
As per release, the delegation demanded grant of occupancy and tenancy rights over the Evacuee land, grant of ownership rights on state land allotted to the displaced person of 1965, Grant of 10% reservation quota towards Chamb displaced persons, grant of cash compensation and others. Those who accompanied include Anil Kumar Choudhary, Darshan Singh, D.R. Chib, Kasturi Lal Chadwal, Jagdev Singh and others. |
