| Head chopped body recovered | | Murder of teenager leaves Khansahib locality shell shocked | | Srinagar, August 29: Following the brutal killing of a 16 year old minor boy at Khansahib Budgam, police registered a case and started investigating the matter. Reports reaching Srinagar indicate that while on his return from carpet weaving center at around 5.00 P.M on Monday evening, 16 year old boy Mehraj-ud-Din Bhat S/O Gh Mohi-ud-Din started roaming around in his village during which he was abducted and did not return till late in the evening, when his parents started hunting for him. As the parents of missing boy informed their relations and neighbours, people in large numbers started searching Mehraj-ud-Din, but he could not be traced till Tuesday morning, when his father Gh Mohi-ud-Din Bhat informed the police about the incident. As police started searching the missing boy, some villagers spotted body of Mehraj-ud-Din in a paddy field which was kept hidden there. The residents and the police immediately rushed to spot and recovered head chopped body of missing boy. The signs of torture on the body of slain youth indicate that he was murdered with sharp edged weapons. Talking to KNS, SHO Khansahib Raja Tasleem said that a 5 year old minor child was similarly murdered in April last year. A case under FIR no: 193/06 has been registered and investigations of the matter are underway, added Raja Tasleem. The post mortem of the body was, according to police sources, conducted and hard evidences are not ruled out.
