Come to Red Cross Mela: Div Com appeals

Divisional Commissioner Sudhanshu Pandey convened a press conference today in his office chamber regarding Red Cross Mela which is being held on Sunday here after a gap of 14 years.
The objective of the Mela is to highlight the fundamental principles of Red Cross and Red Crescent movement. The principles are humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity and universality. The revenue generated from the Mela will be utilized for charitable social causes.
While briefing Press and Media persons Pandey, who is also Chairman Regional Red Cross Society, invited the people of Jammu and adjoining areas to visit Red Cross Mela from 10 AM to 10 PM on Sunday where the special attraction are Joy Rides for children, variety cultural programme, photo exhibition organized by of different NGOs, free blood grouping, B.P Check up, attractive band display and performance by Army, BSF, CRPF. Above all Royal Dogra food and Wazwan shall be available at nominal rates throughout the day which includes lunch and dinner.
Mr. Pandey while briefing about the arrangement said that special arrangements has been made for parking adjacent to Kala Kendra with the help of JDA authorities. The other agencies who are extending support include District Administration, Jammu police, Jammu Municipal Corporation, PHE, PDD, Administration Kala Kendra. He also expressed thanks to the Co-Sponsors which includes Jam Kash Vehicledes, State Bank of India, Pelican House, Kashmir Steel Rolling Mill, Chamber of Commerce, Retail Traders Association and Director of Industries.
Secretary, Regional Red Cross Jammu Mr. Anil K. Padha was also present in the press conference.
