| Kavinder chairs general body meeting at JMC | | | Early Times Reporter

The 41st General Body meeting of the Jammu Municipal Corporation was held today the 28th of April 2008 under the Chairmanship of Shri Kavinder Gupta, Mayor, JMC. The House unanimously passed a resolution condoling the untimely demise of Smt. Kailash Rani, Corporator, Ward No.44. Several Corporators, Dy. Mayor, the Mayor and Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation expressed deep shock and anguish over the death of Smt. Kailash Rani who had all qualities of head and heart. The House recalled her contribution to the development of her ward and her tireless efforts in pursuing the cases with different departments. The Mayor appreciated the constructive roll played by the Corporator and prayed to God for the peace of the department soul. The Municipal Commissioner also recalled his meeting with the deceased Corporator, her affection and tenderness and her wonderful conduct. Later floral tributes were paid to the departed soul. The House was then adjourned without conducting any proceedings as a matter of respect to the departed soul and the Municipal Corporation offices were closed for the day. |
