| PP criticizes CM for maltreating ex-MLA | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Apr 27 Strongly condemning the misbehavior of the security staff at the venue of convocation of Sri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) with the chief patron, Praja Parishad (PP) and ex-MLA, Rishi Kumar Koushal Praja Parishad held chief minister responsible for maltreating the ex-MLA. Addressing a press conference here today, president PP, Chander Mohan Sharma said that due to the misbehavior of security staff with the senior most leader of party and to protest against the insensitivity of chief minister towards a senior Ex-MLA, Rishi Koushal left the auditorium. He further added that if a four time MLA like 82 year old Rishi Kumar Koushal can lose his fundamental right of speech guaranteed under constitution, then what must be the fate of a common man in the hands of security personnel. While lashing out at chief minister for his improper behavior, he said the hearing aid has become a life line for the senior citizens where as many senior Congress leaders can also develop the same problems. Then what the security agencies will do with them. Meanwhile, Sharma appealed the governor to provide 50 per cent reservation to the minority Hindu community of Jammu. Among others who participated in the conference were, Dr. Som Magotra, Rishi Prashar, Arvind Sharma, Sunil Raka and Arun Rajwal. |
