| JD’s fashion institute comes to Jammu | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Apr 28 JD Institute of Fashion Technology today, opened its first branch in Jammu. The launching was done by the international model Lisa Degerfeldt, who has walked the ramps of Paris, London and Milan. Lisa is in India to benefit the student, designers with her experience of modeling and international fashion week culture, a communiqué issued by the JD Institute said. Speaking to the media persons at the launch ceremony Lisa said, “I fell privileged to be a part of such event. India known for its heritage also has a variety of textiles from a state like Jammu and Kashmir known for its Pashmina and embroideries the state will now see a bulk of rising talent in the field of fashion. I wish the institute a great success.” RC Dala executive director JD Institute was also present at the opening. He said, “To say that the institute is quality conscious will be an understatement because it is not merely the quality of education that one is taking about. The institute has been aware that quality of education in sum total of so many things.” The JD Institute of fashion technology has completed nearly two decades of pre dominance in the fashion industry known for creating fashions news year after year, this institute has been producing 200 talents round the year who are immediately absorbed in the industry, thanks to the industry patronization. The state of art computer lab coupled with a huge infrastructure of well equipped manufacturing unit, a sophisticated design studio, a pattern making lab, a jewellery design studio and a manufacturing lab, arm the students with all the requisite technical knowledge and practical expertise required for the professional presentation at the annual awards, he added. |
