Overloading on Doda roads puts lives to risk
4/14/2019 9:30:37 PM
Early Times Report
DODA, Apr 14: Despite tall claims by district administration, traffic police and Motor Vehicle Department, overloading in passanger vehicles is going on unbated on the roads of Doda district.
The lives of people remain in danger as there is routine overloading in passenger vehicles plying on Bhadarwah- Chinta, Doda-Marmat and other roads of Doda district despite police posts at many places on this route. It is very unfortunate that, two police posts were deployed on this route within 20 Km radius on Bhaderwah-Chinta road but no one shows any seriousness towards this issue. The fact is that all the traffic rules are broken openly, the district police seems to be turning a blind eye towards the mess.
People alleged that, there is no traffic police on duty on this route and police are also hand in glove with the violators as the drivers/owners are violating the rules under the nose of police.
Neither government nor administration has taken any action against violators which clearly shows their carelessness." Almost all the routes of Doda are extremely overloaded there by increasing the chance if accident in this mountanious area of Doda district.
