Early Times Report

Billawar, Apr 14: Congress leader and Guna MP Jyotiraditya Scindia today criticized the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for befooling the people of country in the name of development. "You may be able to fool some people some time, but you can't fool all the people all the time", Scindia told Modi while addressing an election campaign rally in support of Congress candidate from Kathua Udhampur Parliamentary Constituency, Vikramaditya Singh here.
Scindia said that Modi visited across the country only just to gather the votes of the people of country during the election times without any intention to solve their problems. He said the BJP projects PM Modi everywhere in the country as the Member Parliaments of BJP did nothing for the people of Billawar Assembly segment.
Scindia slammed BJP for exploiting the sentiments of people for the electoral gains and doing nothing on ground for the people of the country including farmers, businessmen, border dwellers and the women. He said that Modi's demonetization, GST and Kashmir policy has drawn flak from every quarter of the country and that is why the team BJP including Dr Jitendra Singh are avoiding to name any of these issues in their failed election campaign. The senior Congress leader appealed to people that they should give a befitting reply to the BJP's failed policies by voting in large numbers for the Congress.
Scindia said that Congress party's contribution in the progress of country since independence is well known to every citizen of the country and there is no need of BJP to certify the same. Scindia said, "It was only the Congress party and its leaders like Pt Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Rajeev Gandhi, etc who ensured steady progress and colossal development in the country to make India so strong that it is now part of group of few elite countries which have a strong socio-economic profile with matchless advancement in the fields of science, education, agriculture and what not." He said that Congress has made India that much strong that it has withstood the prevalent chaotic situation in the country by the misrule of BJP and is still moving ahead without much difficulty.
Congress Lok Sabha candidate, Vikramaditya Singh while taking a jibe at Dr Jitendra Singh's alienation towards Udhampur constituency, said that the Union Minister always visited Billawar on a chopper and he is not at all aware of the villages, people and their issues. He said that the 'flying candidate' of the constituency can never know the problems the people are facing at ground.
Singh said that Nyuntam Aay Yojana (NYAY), the Minimum Wage Scheme announced by Rahul Gandhi aims to provide the poorest 5 crore Indian families an amount of Rs 72,000 per year, every year. Later, Scindia and Singh appealed people to support Congress for ushering new era of development in the country especially in J&K by taking people of all walks of life and hues along without any discrimination and hatred as was the case of BJP.
