Omar holds crucial meetings in Anantnag

ANANTNAG, Apr 15: National Conference Vice President and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday held a crucial meeting with party leaders in South Kashmir's Anantnag district
Early Times Learnt from reliable sources that meeting was held to discuss strategies related to Parliament elections. All the political parties haven't yet started their election campaign in Shopain and Pulwama districts of Anantnag parliamentary seat while as in Anantnag the political parties excluding congress haven't succeeded in holding impressive rallies and road shows.
On Monday evening at around 6:30pm, Omar Abdullah arrived in Anantnag along with party general secretary Ali Mohd Sagar. Before him, top leaders from South Kashmir including Dr Bashir Ahmad Veeri, Justice Hasnain Masoodi, Altaf Ahmad Kaloo and leaders representing sixteen assembly segments of south Kashmir also arrived at the office residence of former legislator Abdul Majeed Larmi.
"National Conference is going to intensify its poll campaign in Anantnag and others areas of South Kashmir for which party is going strategize things tonight," a sources privy to development told Early Times.
"Some leaders have differences within the party and this exercise is being carried cautiously to ensure everything goes smoothly and party nominated candidate wins," he added.
Participants were also served famous Kashmiri Wazwan.
Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and PDP President Mehbooba Mufti also held a meeting with party vice -President Abdul Rehman Veeri in Khanabal on Monday. According to sources, few other leaders were also part of the meeting that lasted for about two hours.
