PM’s 2- day visit to Jammu a flop show: Jugal

Jammu | Apr 29
Terming the recent 2-day visit of the Prime Minister to winter capital as a flop show, BJP leader and MLA Nagrotra Jugal Kishore Sharma said it was a state-managed drama to once again befool the people of the Jammu region. The Prime Minister was not acquainted with the ground realities in the state, Jammu region in particular, by the State Chief Minister, he alleged.
Sharma said the Prime Minister has failed to redress the grievances of the West Pakistan refugees, refugees from PoK, refugees of 1965 and 1971. The PM did not utter a single word on the price rise, which has badly hit the life of every citizen. The governments at the centre and in the state often link the on going militancy in the state with unemployment, but no employment package was announced. Merely 6000 posts can not end the unemployment problem. The number of youth coming out of colleges and universities every year is much more than 6000. Hence, just 6000 jobs are an eye wash only, he added.
How successful the Prime Minister’s 2-day visit to Jammu was can be well judged from the resentments being shown by almost all the Associations and social organizations. There is not even a single person, except the Congressmen, who has any word of praise for Dr. Manmohan Singh after his visit.
Sharma further said that the UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, who too paid one-day visit to Jammu a few days ago, avoided speaking on price rise. She stressed on women empowerment and did not realize that it is the women who are affected badly by the price rise. Again, Sonia Gandhi failed to ensure representation of even single women in the state cabinet.
The BJP leader advised the UPA Chairperson and the Prime Minister to not to mislead the people and work honestly to mitigate their sufferings.
