Mumbai
Did you miss seeing the trailer of PM Narendra Modi biopic? If yes, you will not be able to watch it now because it has gone missing from YouTube, the video-uploading platform. The official trailer of the upcoming controversial biopic PM Narendra Modi, which was released in March, has suddenly vanished from the internet.

Be it Google or YouTube, the trailer of the biopic, which chronicles the life of the incumbent prime minister, has been removed from various platforms, it seems. When you try searching for the trailer of PM Narendra Modi biopic, the one that tops list is the trailer of the web series Modi: The Journey of a Common Man.

If you type words like ''pm modi biopic trailer'' on You Tube, you will see the message, ''This video is unavailable''. Here is the screenshot:

Just to confirm, we also tried ''modi biopic trailer'' on the YouTube search box, but were unable to find the official trailer.

The trailer was possibly taken down after the Election Commission's order staying the release of the film. In its order, the Election Commission had also mentioned that "any poster or publicity material concerning any such certified content, which either depicts a candidate (including prospective) for the furtherance (or purported to further) of electoral prospect, directly or indirectly, shall not be put to display in electronic media in the area where MCC (model code of conduct) is in operation. (sic)"

The trailer of PM Narendra Modi biopic was unveiled on March 21. Actor Vivek Oberoi, in the trailer, is seen trying an impression of PM Modi. As Modi, Oberoi is seen shouting "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" in the trailer. A dialogue that stood out from the rest in the three-minute trailer is, "Chetavni deta hoon main Pakistan ko. Agar dobara hum par haath uthaya, toh haath kaat doonga."

The makers of the biopic have been battling a lot of problems because of the release date of the film ever since it was announced. The film, which was initially slated to hit the screens on April 12, was brought ahead to April 5, but missed the new release date. After that, the makers announced that they were releasing the film on April 11, but on April 10, the Election Commission put a stay on the release.

Producer Sandip Ssingh told IANS, "We are in a lot of stress. The team is losing confidence, but we hope and pray that we get justice and we release our film. For the first time it has happened that a filmmaker has to go through this."
