| NC indulges in petty gimmicks to hoodwink masses: PDP | | | Early Times Reporter

Cautioning people against vicious campaign launched by the National Conference (NC) to hoodwink the innocent masses on election year, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today vowed to expose double standard of former Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah, who has been speaking different language at different places to befool the people.
In a statement issued here today, media incharge and state secretary of PDP, Renu Azad said that for the quite some time NC patron and former Chief Minister, Dr Farooq launched a malicious campaign to befool the masses. She said that Dr Abdullah is speaking one language in Jammu and another in Kashmir Valley and different in Delhi too "In his bid deceive people of Jammu region, Dr Farooq has been echoing statements of BJP and other Sangh Parivar organizations while in Kashmir Valley the same Dr Abdullah is speaking in different language", she said and narrated that recently in Nagrota, Jammu the NC patron had termed PDP as anti-national for giving the suggestion of dual currency but after reaching Kashmir Dr Abdullah took u-turn and uttered different language in Sarhama Pahalgam.
Renu Azad challenged NC leadership to clear its stand on these issues. "At Jammu, Dr Abdullah termed PDP as anti-national for pursuing these issues while at Kashmir he charged PDP with playing in the hands of Delhi", she pointed out and added that NC patron himself contradicting his statements at different places.
It is a historical reality that NC leaders used to befool people of Jammu and Kashmir regions by raking up different issues in different regions. "Recently released book of former Deputy Minister, L K Advani titled 'My Country My People' is an example how NC leadership had cheated the people of Jammu and Kashmir for the lust of power", Azad said and added that for getting power NC leadership can stoop down to any extent and it is high time to nefarious game plan of this party.
For years together, NC leadership had deceived people of Jammu and Kashmir by raking up emotive issues but now masses of this state have realized who are their well wishers, Azad said and recalled that it was NC leadership who befooled the gullible masses by showing Pakistani salt and green handkerchief flag just to their votes. The same NC leadership has repeated people of the state by entering into unholy alliances with some organizations to accomplish its game plan.
She regretted that instead of playing the role of construction opposition, NC leadership has been indulged in cheap politics of raking up different issues in different areas. "Since its formation PDP has never hide is agenda", she said and pointed out that whether suggestion of dual currency or proposal of self-rule, PDP leadership always started its campaign from Jammu region on these issues to make its agenda clear.
