A protest demonstration was organized by various Sikh organization including DGPC, Nishkam Sewa Society, Youth Akali Dal, AISSF, Sikh Naujawan Sabha, Sikh Istri Sudhar Sabha and Nirbou Nirver organization jointly at Satwari Chowk against MoS Manjit Singh,. As per a press release, the agitating community members blamed that when Manjit Singh was minister of state for education a book was published which gave wrong information about Sikh gurus. The participants appealed to the Sikh voters to boycott the minister. Those who participated included Harjit Singh, Mohinder Singh, Paramjeet Singh, Kulwant Singh, Satinder Pal Singh, Jarnail Singh and Narvir Singh. |
