| AMHSS celebrates Good Friday, Easter Day | | |

Jammu, Apr 18: The students and staff of Alexander Memorial Higher Secondary School, Jammu organized a Special Assembly explaining the meaning of Good Friday & Easter in the School Premises. The staff and students presented a one-act play on the crusifiction of Jesus Christ and His rising from the dead on the third day. It was a heart melting skit the wailing of Mother Mary and the last 7 words spoken by Lord Jesus Christ including 'Oh God forgive them, for they know not what they are doing' etc moistened the eyes of one and all and Rev. Udai Singh, Presbyter Incharge St. Paul's Church, He gave the message of Love, Service, and Peace. He emphasized the need for a sacred balance between the creator, the creation and the environment for a peaceful world. The programme started with reading from the Holy Bible by Marshlaw followed by 4 Humns by the school choir in their melodious voice. Johnny William, Rev. Udai Singh, Presbyter Incharge, St. Paul's Church, S.M. Gill, Ex. MLC, Feastus Sotra, Daniel, Prabha Jain, Sneh Bali, Gosain, Anthony and several other members of the management along with several dignitaries and well wishers of the school were among the distinguished guests. S.M. Gill, Feastus and Daniel Bhatti also addressed the audience. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Monica and the customary Vote of thanks was presented by Marshlaw. The one-act-play was written and directed by the Principal, Esther William. |
