The annual pilgrimage to holy shrine of Buddha Amarnath in the border district of Poonch will commence from August one this year.
"The annual Buddha Amarnath yatra will commence from August one from Jammu. The first batch of pilgrims will leave for Poonch on the same day," National Convenor of Bajrang Dal and state president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Rama Kant today said.
Pilgrims from across the country will arrive in Jammu on August one.
The yatra will continue till August 10. "This year we are expecting more than two lakh pilgrims," said Kant.
About one lakh pilgrims visited the holy shrine last year. |
