7 shops, 3 residential houses gutted in Dadpath

Kishtwar, Apr 20: In a tragic fire incident during last intervening night, seven shops and three residential houses with four families residing in it completely gutted despite the locals with the help of the police and army make all the efforts to save the property of the victims, but due to non availability of the fire tender services in the area, all the seven shops and the residential houses could not be saved from reducing to ashes.
As per the details available with "Early Times" the local notice the flames coming out from one of the structure and raise the alarm as a result of which the locals immediately rush to the spot and launched rescue operation.
Soon Police and army also join them and prevented the fire from spreading to adjoining buildings and till the fire brigade reaches the spot, all the shops and residential houses reduces to ashes. Meanwhile Senior Congress Leader and Ex MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori also visited the spot and meet with the victim families to express their solidarity with them. Saroori called upon the administration to open fire tender services at Chatroo and Khara Sub Division and demanded Rs10 lakh compensation to the effected families and the victim shopkeeper.
The Local Sarpanch Shabir Ahmed Lone demanded waving of the loan of the shopkeepers whose shops were gutted. PDP leader Advocate Sheikh Nasir Hussain also visited the fire affected families and expressed sorrow over the fire incident in which seven shops and three residential houses have completely damaged. He urged the administration to compensate the losses to victims at the earliest.
Among the officials, BDO Mughal Maidan Sobia Shad was the first to reach the spot and ensured all possible help to the victims from RDD beside also assured them that she will look into the demands of providing house to the victims family under IAY.
