| Two HM militants arrested | | | Early Times Reporter Srinagar | Apr 30 Jammu and Kashmir police claimed to have arrested two militants of Hizbul Mujahideen including a close associate of district commander Furqan who was arrested recently. The militants have been arrested from two separate places in Handwara and Batmaloo area of Srinagar. Official sources disclosed that on specific information Police Handwara and 30-RR launched a search operation at village Prangroo and arrested an active local trained militant of Hizbul Mujahideen. He has been identified as Javid Ahmad Bhat, son of Mohammad Abdullah, resident of Prangroo, Handwara area of north Kashmir. The militant according to police was close associate of Mushtaq Ahmad Malla alias Furqan district commander of Hizb outfit, who was recently arrested by the police. On his disclosure one 9mm pistol with Magazine, six Pistol rounds and one Radio set I-com were recovered from the residential house of said militant. Meanwhile, on specific information about the presence of two HM militants Police launched a search of the area and arrested a militant of HM Aijaz Ahmad Malik alias Younis and Shah Nawaz of Dalipora Pulwama alongwith one AK-47 rifle, one AK-Magazine and 27 AK rounds. However another militant Muzaffar Ahmad Dar alias Ali Ganai, son of Ghulam Qadir, resident of Chiloora Pattan managed to escape in the dense populated area. A manhunt has been lunched by the police to nab the militant; Police has called CRPF and cordon the area. |
