| Snatcher held, cash worth Rs 8500 recovered | | | Early Times Reporter

Gangyal police today held a snatcher and recovered rupees eight thousand and five hundred from his possession. Giving details sources said that one Anuradha Mishra W/o Rajeev Mishra r/o Jeevan Nagar withdrew rupees eight thousand and five hundred from Punjab National Bank when she came out of the bank, a person who was watching her snatched her purse containing cash and rushed away. After having information Gangyal police led by SHO Gangyal under the supervision of SDPO Sukh Dev Raj Bhasin and SP South Zahid Manhas conducted several raids and arrested snatcher identified as Jarnail Singh S/o Manjit Singh r/o Model Town, Gangyal within four hours of snatching. The purse along with the cash was recovered from his possession. A case under section 382 RPC has been registered against him in this regard, sources maintained. |
