| SC / ST confederation highlights demands | | | Early Times Reporter

A meeting of All India Confederation of SC/ST Organizations was held here today under the chairmanship of RK Kalsotra, state president. Various issues facing the communities were discussed at length.
Various demands raised on the occasion included applying the recent relaxation in educational qualification and marks to the candidates of SC/ST candidates other demands were giving age relaxation of 5 years to the candidates of weaker sections and relaxation in the relaxation in basic qualification to the tune pf middle standard to the candidates of the weaker sections.
The leaders of the confederation appealed to the Chief Minister to ensure the implementation of SRO 294 for the betterment of SC/ST/OBC community masses. It was further sought to implement the amended SRO in stead of SRO -294 in case of promotions on government jobs.
The office bearers present on the occasion were Roshan Din Chowdary , Vice President , Dr. AC Bhagat, State Secy, Romesh Kaith, Jt. Secy and others. |
