| Nirmala Deshpande’s demise widely mourned | | | Early Times Reporter

The death of Nirmala Deshpande, a social activist and follower of Gandhian ideology, who passed away in New Delhi yesterday, has been widely mourned in Jammu and Kashmir.
Glowing tributes were paid to Nirmala Deshpande at a condolence meeting held at the Pradesh Congress Committee here today. The speakers recalled the services of the departed soul and described her as true follower of Mahatma Gandhi.
Samajwadi party at a specially convened meeting held under the chairmanship of Party President Sheikh Abdul Rehman has expressed shock and grief over the death of Deshpande and observed two minute silence in her memory..
Knowledgeable Peace Society under the Presidentship of Paras Ram Poonch also held an emergency meeting where a resolution was passed mourning the death of Deshpande. A two minutes silence was observed by the office-bearers of the society.
People’s Democratic Front Vice President Tej Ram Dogra has also condoled the demise of prominent social activist Nirmala Deshpande
Various other social, religious and political organizations have mourned the death of Deshpande and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul. |
