| Over Rs. 10 cr earmarked for Health sector in Rajouri | | | Early Times Reporter Rajouri | May 2 A sum of Rs.1031.67 lakh has been earmarked in health sector in district Rajouri during the current financial year. The allocation included Rs.155.61 lakh under state share while Rs.850 lakh as loan component. The department proposed to complete 13 on going Primary Health Centre buildings, 11 health sub-centre buildings and four sets of residential staff quarter during the current financial year. During last fiscal, five PHC buildings at PHC Garan, Sialsui, Androoth, Bagla Nadyala Laroka have been completed. Moreover, 13 sets of residential quarter at PHC Dalhori, Balshama and Community Health Centre (CHC) at Nowshera and Sunderbani have also been completed. To fill up the vacancies in the department, 26 doctors and 122 Paramedical staff have been engaged on contractual basis under National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) more so under the mission health institution are being strengthen by way of civil work, supply of equipment and providing additional man power. Under the NRHM labour room, labour ward complex and blood storage room have been constructed in CHC Sunderbani while similar works have also been taken up at CHC Nowshera, Darhal, Thanamandi and Kalakote.
