| Red Cross-dispatches relief for Ungoi victim | | | Ealry Times Reporter
Jammu | May 2
Regional Red Cross Jammu today dispatched a consignment of relief material for the fire victims of village Ungoi Kishtwar. The relief material consisting of blankets, mat tresses, bed sheets, 24 kitchen sets, 100 each plastic sheets for temporary shelter 400 mts, assorted and warm clothes 300 pieces was air lifted today under the directions of Divisional Commissioner Jammu Sudhanshu Pandey and dropped near the affected village.
Secretary, Regional Red Cross Mr Anil K Padha personally supervised the relief operation alongwith Project Coordinator Disaster Management (UNDP) Dr Ran Bhushan Singh. The Dy Commissioner Kishtwar and the Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) was also present at the site.
The Secretary, RCS also held a brief meeting with Dy Commissioner Kishtwar where it was decided that a Red Cross store will be set up at the district level which can facilitate such kind of emergencies. A temporary location for the store was also identified which will operate for provide succor to the need in case of any emergency. |
