Kashmir centric politicians condemn trouble in Sri Lanka
4/25/2019 10:28:57 PM
The Kashmir centric politicians have condemned terror trouble;e in Sri Lanka. Besides the Governor S.P. Malik has expressed shock and anguish over the serial blasts at Churches and Hotels in Sri Lanka in which innocent lives were lost, and many were injured. "We stand in solidarity with the people of Sri Lanka," Governor Malik said.Calling it a heinous act which attempts to spread fear and hatred, Governor said that the whole world shall stand united in the fight against terrorism. Governor has conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families bereaved in this dastardly attack and wished speedy recovery to those injured. President Peoples Democratic Party and former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti also condemned the attacks as "barbaric acts" to create panic and hatred among people.
Mehbooba on twitter wrote: "Pained to hear about the horrific serial blasts in Sri Lanka. The sole purpose of these barbaric acts is to create panic & hatred amongst people. It would help not to draw conclusions by floating irresponsible & baseless theories. On one hand these Kashmir centric politicians, except Governor, have condemned what has taken place in Sri Lanka but since their stay in Kashmir they side with militants an d raise a loud protest once some civilians are killed or injured during clashes with the security forces. This a double standard. But India is really worried over the growing t error attacks in Sri Lanka because all Indians believe that the trou ble could flow into Kashmir and ot her Indian states.
The National Conference leadership while condemning the attacks in Lanka in which at least 137 people were killed said the hope to see the end of terror attacks in Sri Lanka has been shattered. Omar wrote on twiiter: "Terrorism strikes #SriLanka again. It had been hoped that the end of the war with the Tamil Tigers would also see the end of terror attacks on the Emerald Isle but sadly that hope has been shattered .
But the heart of these Kashmir centric politicians has not shed a tear or so when several hundred milants were killed along with people in Kashmir.
In another tweet Omar said "While condemning these horrible attacks, designed to cause massive loss of life on a day that was to be celebrated, my prayers for the deceased & injured as also for their loved ones.
"Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad, condemning the violence said there was no place for terrorism and intolerance in a civilized society.
