| 3 accused of murder attack held | | | Early Times Reporter Samba | May 3 Samba Police today arrested three alleged accused involved in the murderous attack on Vinod Singh alias Bunty resident of Mandi Thalora Samba from a hide out and also recovered the weapon of offence. Senior Superintendent of Police, Samba, said here today that on April 30 at 1830 hours Vinod Singh Samyal alias Binny son of Kuldeep Singh resident of ward No 3 Samba, Anil Singh Samyal alias Racsoo son of Jagdish Singh and Lakhbir Singh alias Lucky s/o Kuldeep Singh, both residents of Mandi Thalor, armed with lethal weapons’ Khohkri and Draat’ made a murderous attack on Vinod Singh causing serious injuries to him. A case of attempt to murder has been registered against the accused in Police station Samba, he said adding that the injured was immediately shifted to hospital for medical treatment. The SSP further said that a police party headed by SDPO/SHO Samba immediately swung into action and launched an extensive search of the accused persons and succeeded in arresting them from a hideout. The weapon of offence was also recovered from their possession, he added. The SSP said some old rivalry was reported the cause of the attack adding that further investigation of the case was in progress. |
