Jammu | May 3
At a simple function organized at party headquarters, a political stalwart, former MLA and senior PDP leader from Doda, Ghulam Qadir Wani along with his 50 supporters joined BJP today.
These new entrants were garlanded by the party leaders including State Vice-President & Spokesperson Prof. Hari Om, State General Secretaries Shamsher Singh Manhas and Bali Bhagat, Party Spokesperson Ramesh Arora and State Secretary Yudhvir Sethi.
R.P.Singh, on this occasion, said that a change is rapidly passing over the country as the members of minority communities have now realized that the Congress, during last 60 years has only misled them for vote bank politics by creating an impression that the BJP is a communal party which has been proved totally wrong. The nation witnessed the six year rule of BJP-led NDA and people from all faiths expressed their faith in its programmes and policies. He said the appeasement policy of the Congress has brought down its governments from majority of the states to just three. He said the BJP has been getting overwhelming support of minorities across the country, including Jammu and Kashmir, and this is due our basic principle -”Justice to all and appeasement to none’’. The joining of Wani will enthuse members of his community to join hands with the BJP to defeat fake democrats and fake secularists.
Ghulam Qadir Wani, on this occasion, said that during his long political career of over 35 years, he has realized that the Congress, National Conference and PDP have only misled the members of minority communities on the slogans of autonomy, self rule, dual currency and so on and that the leaders of these parties speak one language when in power and exactly the opposite when voted out of power by the people. All parties have no concern for the state or welfare and development of the people.
Sayeed Naveed Hashmi, Niaz Ahmed Zargar, Saleem Raza Wani, Aseem Gupta, Beegat Bal Krishan, Ishtiaq Ahmed, Dr. Izaz Kareem, Sardar Devinder Singh, Babu Ram, Kunal Gupta, Rana Pal Singh, Akash Gupta, Imtiaz Ahmed Mir, Devinder Singh Jamwal Rana Ranjit Singh were prominent among those who embraced BJP along with Ghulam Qadir Wani.
