| Adventure Exploration Safari flag-off tomorrow | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 3 The Roarima—An Eco Adventure Exploration Safari to explore the eco adventure tourism of remote areas of Jammu and distant tribal areas of Himachal Pradesh shall be flagged off on May five morning from Kala Kendra, here. Organised by the Extreme Himalayan Adventures in association with Airtel, the first of its kind adventure trip on motorbikes by 25 riders and logistical crew will be covering a distance of 1500 kilometers in around 14 days. This was stated by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Extreme Himalayan Adventures, Dr Naveen Kotwal in a press conference here today. He said, “Jammu Province with its diverse topography and a history of cultural heritage, offers diverse socio-cultural experience to the travelers. The terrain offers the best of hill rides and lofty mountain roads and passes.” The Roarima will be exploring a route through the Jammu Shivaliks, foot hills of Pir Panjal and the Western Himalayas. “The riders will get an insight of the local culture, heritage and cuisine thus explore these rarely visited distant scenic areas and will attempt this adventure route via the distant areas of Paddar and Pangi,” explained Kotwal. The members of the team, who were exposed to the media include a foreigner. Part of the exploration safari, Ian Robbinson, a Britisher has come all the way from Delhi to have an insight look into J&K. Ian, who is on a six-month Indian tour came to know about the safari on internet and expressed his desire to be part of it. Among other participants include two from Delhi and one from Haryana while remaining members belong to J&K. To be flagged off from Kala Kendra at 10.30 am on May five, the safari will touch the spots of Rajouri, Reasi, Ramnagar, Mansar, Mantalai, Sudhmahadev, Kishtwar, Paddar to finally reach the Pangi valley in Himachal Pradesh. The technical support for the safari is being provided by Royal Enfield, Reliance Motors. Among others present were Director Royal Enfield, Reliance Motors, Vikas Rathore and Director, Chitterlok, Vivek Mahajan. |
