Khajuria seeks dismissal of government in wake of Sharma’s disclosure
5/5/2008 11:10:58 PM
Early Times Reporter
Jammu | May 5
State BJP President Ashok Khajuria has said that Congress-led coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir is not just corrupt, inefficient, militant-friendly, anti-Jammu and anti-refugees but it is also immoral. The worst part of the whole situation is that AICC (I) president & UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi is a party to the immoral activities being indulged in by members of her own party.
He was commenting on the reported statement of the Congress MP from Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency, Madan Lal Sharma, who admitted such things in so many words. In fact, he told a public meeting at Village Dori Dager in Khour block that former JKPCC (I) President Peerzada Mohammed. Sayeed and Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Tara Chand were also involved in the infamous Srinagar sex scandal and that it was he who persuaded AICC (I) President Sonia Gandhi and Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad to delete the names of these two Congress leaders from the list containing the names of those involved in the sex scandal so that no action is taken against them. The admission of Madal Lal Sharma clearly indicates that he is also a party to the immoral act as he played a dubious role in the whole exercise.
But these are not the only leaders who were involved in the sex scandal. There were several others belonging both to the PDP and the Congress, as also to the People’s Democratic Front, Madan Lal is reported to have disclosed.
He said in the light of Sharma’s admission, the BJP demands not only dismissal of the state government which have been shielding immoral elements, but also seeks explanation from the AICC (I) President & UPA Chairperson, Sonia Gandhi, who herself is a respectable lady, as to why she condoned the heinous crimes committed by her party colleagues. The BJP also demands that both the former JKPCC (I) President and Speaker of the Assembly should be immediately booked and criminal proceedings initiated against them forthwith.
