Div Com Jammu reviews ongoing developmental projects at Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, MAY 02: Divisional Commissioner, Jammu , Sanjeev Verma today chaired a meeting of the concerned district officers and reviewed the major developmental projects/activities in respect of PDD, R&B, PMGSY, RDD, Forest, Horticulture, NRLM, JKEDA, health department etc.

Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana, ADDC Kishtwar, Mohd.Hanief Malik, ADC Kishtwar, Pawan Kumar Parihar, ACD Kishtwar, ACR, Kishtwar, CMO Kishtwar besides concerned district officers remain present during the meet.

Div Com held detailed sector wise review and enjoined upon the officers to complete the languishing projects on priority.

He directed XEN, Hydraulic to complete the Nai Gad water supply scheme at an earliest so that water crisis could be solved to some extent wherein XEN, PHE apprised that in Naigadh water supply scheme the gravity up to RD 29600 shall be laid by the end of July, 2019

While sorting details of PDD department, the concerned officer apprised about the overall scenario of power in the district.

Div Com Jammu directed the concern officer to furnish a proposal regarding the replacement of rotten wooden poles in rural areas for augmenting electricity facilities in rural areas.

He also directed to undertake alternative measures so as to ensure that adequate power shall be made available to the consumers during the hot summers.

Div. Com exhorted upon DFO Kishtwar/Marwah to give impetus to tree plantation in the district so that green cover be increased, he further asked them to especially plant trees like walnut, mulberry, apricot apple etc for giving boost to employment sector.

Div. Com asked the representative of Red Cross that they can also purchase tents and blankets out of SDRF with the money alloted to them , a proposal shall be submitted in this regard.

A demand was also raised by representatives of Red Cross Society for providing of Ambulance during rescue operation, on spot direction were passed to CMO Kishtwar to submit a detailed proposal in this regard.

He instructed the concerned officers that in upcoming Machail Yatra there should complete ban over the use of polythene bags. He directed handloom officer to aware the common masses about the use environment friendly hand made bags and for this they may make available at least 2000 bags during upcoming Machail Yatra.

He further directed all the concerned officers to work in coordination and tandem for early completion of all the major projects which are of immense public utility. He directed to gear up the pace of works under convergence mode under MGNREGA with related line departments.
