| Amit’s 73 powers Kashyap Blues to 88-run win | | Kashyap Tetragonal Twenty-20 Cricket Tourney | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 5 All-round performance by Ravi Pandita and a brilliant batting by Amit Sharma today powered Kashyap Blues to an emphatic 88 runs victory over Kashyap Reds in the ongoing Kashyap Tetragonal Twenty-20 Series at MHAC Nagbani grounds, near here. While, Ravi made 33 runs and took three wickets, Amit played excellent innings of 47-ball 73 to set a big target of 164 for five after Kashyap Blues won the toss and decided to bat first. In reply, Kashyap Reds could not touch even the hundred runs mark and bowled out for 75 runs in 17.5 overs. Earlier, Amit and Ravi put Kashyap Blues on driver’s seat bringing the score to 113 runs for the first wicket partnership. Amit hit five sixes and seven boundaries to make 73 runs runs while Ravi’s 33 came off 26 deliveries with the help of five fours. Abhinav Kaw contributed 19 runs to the total. From Kashyap Blues, Srikant Bali and Vikas Raina shared two wickets each while Vinay Kumar took one. Batting second, Kashyap Reds were never in winning position and lost all their wickets for 75 runs in 17.5 overs. However, keeping the one-end intact, Ashu Raina scored 37-ball 40 runs including eight boundaries. Besides Ravi Pandita, who took three wickets, Suman Koul and Rohit Pandita also bowled well taking away two wickets each.
