| Talent hunt programme begins | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 6 Swami Vivekananda Institute of Engineering and Technology (SVIET) has started a talent hunt programme in search of meritorious and talented candidates from Jammu region, to make them technically and professionally sound. Addressing the media persons, representative SVIET Gourav Singh told that Swami Vivekanand Group of Institute is coming with an exclusive institute of management for women from 2008-09 session. In order to harness the professional competence of human resources, world class education using state of the art technology would be provided the courses will be aimed at promoting quick understanding and delivery, addressing emerging needs of the industry and markets, helping fresh graduates pursue their careers in their specialized fields and providing specialized skills to industry executives for their promotional requirement, he said. Singh announced the Swani Vivekananda Scholarship scheme for Single Child Girl (2 Seats), Weaker Section (2 Seats), Sports Quota (Two Seats) and handicapped students (2 Seats), with minimum 50 pc in graduation from any recognized university. Besides this, he informed that any student having percentage more than 65 in graduation from any recognized university is eligible in the PGDM course which is a 2 year Post Graduation Program in Management on the pattern of IIM with trimester system, approved by AICTE New Delhi. |
