| Awareness camp organized | | | Early Times Reporter

The Block Development Officer, Nubra conducted an awareness camp of National Rural Employment Grantee Schemes in Bogdang where 842 people of the locality participated in the camp. Among the participants 60% of the participants were women.
Seeing the benefit of the schemes, the women groups were allowed to participate in social function, as it was taboo for women to participate. The Sub divisional magistrate, Nubra Tsewang Dolma was the Chief guest on the awareness camp. The SDM being Ladakhi woman has become an encouraging factor for women folk of Bogdang.
On the occasion 600 beneficiaries of Bogdant and Chulunkha registered their names on the spot as job seekers.
Speaking on the occasion, the SDM stressed for employment generation and advised women groups to come forward to form self help group and take benefit from NREGS. The BDO Tsewang Nurbo stressed for preparation of job cards.
