A protest was held here at GMC hospital by the relatives of a woman who died in the hospital. Relatives of the deceased demanded strict action against the in-laws of Bharti Sharma who, they alleged, forced her to commit suicide. Bharti Sharma r/o Gandhi Nagar entered into love marriage with Dimpal Sambyal r/o Samba, brother of Balwinder Singh Sambyal, president of Congress Seva Dal. After marriage of four months her in-laws started torturing her demanding dowry, they alleged. She came to her parents’ home and today consumed poison. She was rushed to GMC hospital where she died. Parents of the deceased alleged that Balwinder Singh also gave threatening calls for demanding dowry. |
