| MP from UP robbed off luggage, clothes | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 6 Member Parliament from Uttar Pradesh, Chander Prasad (Samajwadi Party) lost his cash, gold ornaments, mobile phone and even clothes he was carrying with him in a brief case when he was sleeping along with his family members in a local hotel at BC road here today. According to reports, some thieves barged into the room of the hotel he was staying in and decamped with everything, the MP and his family members were carrying only leaving behind the clothes they were wearing while asleep. Prasad came to Jammu with his family members, one personal security officer, personal advisor and few servants for having darshan of Mata Vaishno Devi. He booked a suite in this hotel here and went to Katra. After coming from Vaisno Devi, he along with his family members was sleeping when some burglars barged into his room and decamped with Re one lakh cash, one official mobile phone, some gold ornaments and clothes contained in a brief case in broad day light. The MP and family members came to know about the loss of belongings when his wife got up and looked for the briefcase. A FIR No. 33/08 U/S 380 RPC has been registered in this regard at Bus Stand Police Station. When Early Times contacted SSP Jammu Alok Kumar he told that police is on toe to apprehend the culprits and to recover the stolen things. |
