Early Times Reporter Poonch | May 7 To mobilize people for the forthcoming visit of former Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed in this district, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) Poonch zone organized series of public meetings in different areas of Poonch. Zone president Imtiyaz Bandey, Shamim Dar, Raja Gurmeet Singh and Nazir Ahmed addressed series of pubic meetings at Digwar, Trewan, Sawjian, Gagrian, Bedar, Banwat., Khaniter, Mangar, Loran, Palera, Drachar Sathra, Digwar Maleria, Kabbawari Chechia, Qazi Morah and Islamabad. Speaking in these public meetings, PDP leaders called upon the people to come in large number to listen former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, who is scheduled to address a public meeting at Poonch on May 12. PDP leaders further said that it was all due to the policies and programmes of the PDP that situation has been improved on LoC and International Border. Meanwhile Yashpal Sharma, who has recently joined PDP, also addressed series of public meetings in different areas of Poonch to mobilize public for Mufti Mohammad Sayeed's rally on May 12, 2008. Speaking in these meetings, Mr Sharma said that it was all due to the pro-people policies being propagated by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that he has decided to rejoin the party. Sharma gave all credit to PDP for prevailing peace all along the International Border and Line of Control. He said that it was all due to the policies of PDP that peace, to a large extend, has been restored in the State. |
