Seminar on Quality Assurance, Quality Enhancement in Hr Edu held

Rajouri, May 12: Tariq College of Education, Rajouri organized a national seminar on quality assurance and quality enhancement in higher education institutions in collaboration with Council for Teacher Education (CTE Jammu & Kashmir). Delegates and research scholars from Punjab, Himachal, Jammu & Kashmir and Chennai participated in this seminar.
The seminar was focused on various sub themes. Seminar started with an inaugural session which was chaired by Prof Manoj Kumar Dhar, Vice Chancellor University of Jammu
Dr Jaspal Singh President, CTE Jammu & Kashmir welcomed the guest and delegates. Students of Tariq College of Education presented beautiful welcome song to welcome the guests.
Sajjad Tariq, Vice Chairman, Tariq Educational society exposed the theme of the seminar in a beautiful and contextual way. The keynote speaker for the session was Dr Khushvinder Kumar, Principal MM Modi College Patiala, (Punjab)
In the second session experts from different fields shared their views with participants on different sub-themes.
Dr Kajal Manhas, Dept. of Education, University of Jammu deliberated on role of research in higher education while Dr Yogesh Sharma, Ramgarhia College of Education, Phagwara, Punjab given a talk on 'constructivism'.
Dr Vikas Kumar from Dan College of Education, Nawan Shaher, Punjab spoke on 'Quality Parameters For Higher Education' while Dr Pargat Singh Garcha from GHG Khalsa College of Education, Gurusar Sadhar,Punjab shared 'Challenges Before Higher Education'. Dr Ramjan
Ali and Dr Ashwani Sharma discussed concept of quality by taking live examples from school education.
