| Dachan lacks medical facilities: DDF | | | Early Times Reporter Marwah | May 10 The residents of ‘Illaqa Dachan’ have alleged that the state government is not taking any interest to provide medical facilities to the people living in the far flung areas of the tehsil Marwah. As per release, the chairman, ‘Dachan Development Front’ (DDF), Devi Dass Thakur said, due to non-availability of timely treatment to a lady patient recently breathed by last enroute to Kishtwar for treatment. He said area has no motor able road connectivity from village Dachan to Patimohalla. He said last year, a young girl; also died while being carried to the district hospital for treatment, as the area is about 45 kms away from district headquarters, and such people face lot of problems. He said village Dachan has a population of about 20,000souls and lack basic facilities. Residents of the area have condemned non-serious attitude of both state and centre governments towards the area though crores of rupees are being spent for the upliftment of poor people, but people of Dachan are left at the mercy of God. |
