| JMC holds finance, planning committee meet | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 10 The 32nd meeting of finance and planning standing committee of Jammu Municipal Committee (JMC) held under the chairmanship deputy mayor DS Jamwal discussed budget estimates of JMC for 2008-09. In the meeting, it was decided that no vehicle be purchased without the approval of finance and Planning committee. Proposal for hiring of private vehicle will be worked out separately for officers and other staff. Trade taxes Already imposed by JMC will be recovered forthwith. A meeting of all business associations shall be held with deputy mayor for the speedy recovery of trade taxes. Shops occupied by RTC at Parade ground and one hall occupied by University of Jammu will be got vacated. A meeting of public health and sanitation along with members of the standing committee will be held to sort out the sanitation problem shortly. All funds utilized in a particular ward out of any discretionary grant will not be accounted in corporator’s annual fund. No further construction work at cattle pond Gandhi Nagar be taken up in future no such work shall be started without the approval of finance and planning committee. About 600/700 street lights lying in the store shall be distributed ten each to all corporators. The meeting was attended by Zafar Javed Ahmed, Shub Chander Verma, Chaman Lal Bhagat, Tilak Raj Gupta, Ashok Dogra, Ashok Singh Manhas and officers of JMC. N.S.Jamwal ex-mayor,Sanjay Mahey Chairman Public Health and Sanitation committee, Subash jandial Corporator also attended the meeting as special invittee. |
