PCC general secretary Vinod Sharma has expressed serious concern over the shortage of rations at rations depots and urged upon the concerned authorities to come to the aid of common man immediately.
In a statement issued here today Sharma said that there is acute shortage of rations at govt ration depots and the people are not getting even 25 % of ration scale prescribed by the food and supplies Deptt. The most of the ration depots remain closed and the public has to purchase ration from the market on higher rates. Mr. Sharma demanded that Govt. should publically explain the reason of shortage of ration at the govt. depots.
Sharma further said that genuine people have not been provided with BPL ration cards and demanded that a fresh survey be conducted and all the people below poverty line be issued BPL ration cards at the earliest. |
