| Working in govt offices paralysed | | Clerks’ strike enter day 45 | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 10 The ongoing strike of clerical staff of Jammu region entered 45th consecutive day today. The clerical staff from all the departments throughout the Jammu region boycotted the official work in their respective offices and held demonstrations at various places. As per a press release, the striking employees took out a huge procession at Tawi Bridge Jammu. Police had to use the force stop the them from blocking the traffic and stopped them to proceed further. Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association held torch light procession in Srinagar from Partap Park to Old Sect., New Sect. and culminated in front of Divisional Commissioner Office. Similar reports were received from other regions of Kashmir, Leh and various tehsils and districts headquarters. The employees observed complete strike and held rallies in their respective Distt headquarters. Addressing the clerical cadres, the leaders of the association has called upon other clerical cadres of the state to unite under one banner and fight for their common cause and rights which are being deprived by the government since long. |
