Three day test match concludes at Greenfield

Jammu, May 13: Greenfield Red cricket team outshined Greenfield Blue team in a three days cricket test match held in Greenfield play ground, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. Both the teams comprised budding players of Jammu and the test match was played as a part of series of test matches organized by Coach Sardar Balbir Singh who remained instrumental in training budding players of the Jammu.
In the match, Sushant was adjudged the Man of the Match who batted brilliantly in both the innings while Anand Abrol was adjudged 'Budding of player of the Green field'. Highlight of the match was two hatricks struck by bowlers Asim and Rudra. The match was witnessed by former Indian Cricket team player Sh. Surinder Singh Bagel, Ex India A Cricket team and Ex Ranji player who is presently serving as selector of U-14, U-19 and U-23 cricket teams of Jammu and Kashmir.
On the occasion, Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Director Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu was the Chief Guest and Dr. Imran Farooq, Vigilance Officer, University of Jammu was the Guest of Honour. The dignitaries distributed the prizes to the players.
Parents of the players commended the hardwork and sincere efforts of Coach Sardar Balbir Singh in honing the cricketing skills of the talented players and shaping their future.
On the occasion Surinder Singh Bagel shared his cricketing experiences with budding players and assured them of expert training session on regular basis in near future. Parents of the players requested Surinder Singh Bagel to provide institutional support in upgrading the cricketing facilities so that talented players can be groomed to represent the state at national and international level
