| JKHA holds off-season hockey league tourney in June | | | Early Times Reporter

Could not be organised due to certain unavoidable circumstances, the first of its kind, the off-season league hockey tournament now will be held in the first week of June at K K Hakhu Stadium, here.
At least six top teams of Jammu shall be taking part in this tournament organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Hockey Association (JKHA). “Earlier, fixed for mid of May, the first-ever off-season league tournament shall now be held in the first week of June,” resident secretary JKHA, P D Singh told SAN.
The event is being organized to keep the boys busy in sports after examinations. “Finding the boys without any competition during the summer months, especially after the examinations, the Association has planned to hold matches so as to keep them busy,” maintained Singh. |
