Labour deptt rescued 5 children, hands over to Child Welfare Committee

JAMMU, May 15: A team of Labour Department headed by Assistant Labour Commissioner, Jammu, Renu Bala Saini with Labour Officers and Labour Inspector rescued 5 children and handed over to Child Welfare Committee for their rehabilitation.
As per reports, after receiving a complaint from Child line inspected and rescued 2 children namely Halim son of Dhara resident of Punjab and Dinesh son of Krishan Sharma resident of UP from M/s Life Style Service Station and 3 children namely Ravi Krishan son of Dharam Dev resident of Bihar At present Gujjar Nagar, Deepak and lqbal Both son of Lal Ji resident of Bihar at present Qasim Nagar from M/s Bismillah Service Station located at Tawi Road, Opp. Maharaja Hari Singh Park, Prem Nagar.
All the five children found working in both the workshops who were later handed over to the child Welfare Committee for rehabilitation in presence of Jagdish Bali, member of Child line and officials of concerned Police Station. The action as warranted under law shall be followed against the defaulter shopkeeper.
Assistant Labour Commissioner, Jammu appealed Jammuities not to employ any child for domestic purpose or in commercial establishments otherwise they have to face penal consequences as warranted under law.
